Life is liken to walking up the stairs to the 80th floor

A couple discovered that the lift was out of service.
They winced at the fact that they lived in the 80th floor.
They didn't want to wait till the lift was fixed.
They decided to walk upstairs, carrying their heavy backpacks.
They were soon exhausted upon reaching 20th floor.
Husband suggested "why not leave our bags here? Makes the climb much easier. After the lift is fixed, we get down to pick up our bags."
Wife agreed.

Their climb became much easier then.
They got exhausted again when they arrived only in the 40th storey.
They began blaming each other for this lousy idea of using the stairs.

Soon, they were too tired to murmur.

Upon reaching the 80th floor, they were delighted.
But they soon realised that they left their door key in Husband's backpack.

This story is an analogy of life, don't you think?
Before we reach the 20th floor(20 years of age), we have a backpack, a burden of living up to the expectations of people.
In 20th floor, we cheerfully leave our backpack, just as we break free of parental and school expectations.

At the age of 40, we bear a grudge against many things, of work, of family.
At the age of 60, we are tired complaining, and resolve to cherish the rest of our days.
At the age of 80, we realize that the "key" is left in the backpack, just as we have left our childhood dreams back in the 20th floor, only to find our previous aspirations buried in regrets.

Will we live a life like this? Let's cherish our present, so we leave no regrets when we reach the 80th floor.
